Yamunanagar Jagadhri

Yamunanagar is a town and a municipal corporation in the Yamunanagar district of Haryana, India. The plywood and paper industries cluster around this town are well-known. Herbal Nature Park

On the Yamuna Nagar – Paonta route, in the hamlet of Chuharpur. Haryana’s hilly shiwalik belt is home to a diverse range of medicinal plant species. In light of the growing national and worldwide market demand for medicinal plants, as well as the commercial potential of this region’s medicinal resource abundance, the Ch. Devi Lal Herbal Nature Park was established and developed at Chuharpur, district Yamunanagar, to protect and promote Haryana’s resource base of medicinal plant material.

Kalesar Wild Life Santuary

This location is sprawled on 11570 acres in the lap of the lower hills of the Shivaliks, in the eastern part of Yamunanagar. The forest mostly contains Saal, Khair, Shisam, Tun, Sain, and Amla. There are several wild creatures in this woodland.

Chaneti Bhudhist Stupa

It is located 3 kilometres from Jagadhri. In the vicinity of the settlement, there is a huge 8-meter-high brick tomb in an area of around 100 square metres. This is an antique Buddhist Stupa in the shape of a circle. This, according to Hieun Tsang, was erected by King Ashoka.

History and Description :

There was no evidence of a stone barrier encircling this stupa. It was most likely made of wood railings. A 1.5-meter-square chamber filled with soil was discovered at the summit of the stupa. This was the location for Harika, who wore the chhatravali (umbrella). During the Kushna Period, four shrines were constructed to the stupa in four directions along the existing circumambulatory path (Pradakshina Path), and a new pathway was built below to go around.

There was no sign of the stone railing that surrounded this stupa. It was most likely wooden railings. A 1.5-meter-square chamber filled with soil was discovered at the stupa’s summit. This was the venue for Harika, who wore the chhatravali (umbrella). During the Kushna Period, four shrines in four directions along the existing circumambulatory route (Pradakshina Path) were added to the stupa, and a new pathway was erected below to go around.
