The district government and forest department built basic facilities such as a motorboat, paddle boat arrangement, access road, and hut site in this eco-tourism centre. Tugan Dam Eco Tourism Center was officially opened on October 2, 2015, by the state’s Forest Minister.
Various activities at this eco-tourism centre were inspired to motivate the youth of the surrounding hamlet Tugal for motor operator operations, naka operations, emu bird upkeep, and so on. The Forest Department registered the group Mutantonda Forest Range Sukma, to which 21 young people accepted.
