HOW TO REACH RANCHI

1.  Rock Garden, Ranchi

The Rock Garden is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Ranchi, built from Gonda hill rocks. It is positioned on a tiny hill next to the Kanke Dam, which adds to its attractiveness. The distinctive iron footbridge, standing on the back of two poles and being seen, should not be missed. The park also has little cascades, wonderful sculptures and statues that allow for a picnic in a nice environment.

2. Birsa Zoological Park, Ranchi

If you travel with children, Birsa Zoological Park is an excellent spot to visit. The park has a vast range of wildlife including tigers, lions and other wild animals. At the entrance to the zoo, there is a small canteen with food and drinks.

3. Ranchi Lake, Ranchi

In the centre of the town, the British Colonel Onsely dug Ranchi Lake in 1842. This lake offers plenty of scenic area for family picnics and boat trips to enjoy a relaxing evening. The lake is located at the foot of Ranchi Hill, another major tour of the city, with the little Shiv Mandir hanging on its summit. The view from the summit provides a panoramic perspective of the cityscape.

5. State Museum Hotwar, Ranchi

The Hotwar State Museum was once known as the Ranchi Museum and features ethnic exhibits, weapons & weapons, artefacts and jewels that trace state history. 9. Dassam Falls, Ranchi

Dassam falls is one of the most famous places for tourists in Jharkhand and is located around 40 -45 kilometres from the city. A remarkable thing about the waterfall is that you can also witness 10 rivers of water flowing into the swimming pool at its full grandeur. 10. Jonha Falls, Ranchi

14. Jagannath Temple, Ranchi

The first thing about Jagannath Temple that impresses you is its similarity to Puri’s temple. This shrine of 17th century is located approximately ten miles from the main city, and is one of the most popular locations in the city. There is no question that the greatest time to visit the temple is during the Ratha Yatra which takes place every year in June-July. The temple is constructed on a hill and hence multiple stairs must be climbed to access it. Don’t forget to spend a few minutes admiring the beautiful views of the city from the summit after looking for blessings.

15. Pahari Mandir, Ranchi

Located on top of Ranchi Hill, Pahari Mandir gives the most stunning view in the city at a height of 2 140 metres. There are a significant number of Shiva worshippers all year round, particularly in the Shravan season, often between July and August. The temple is venerated among the faithful, as the power to fulfil their desires is believed. You have to go up around 400 stairs to reach the temple.
