Mahasadashiv Temple
The Mahasadashiv temple is located in the Gumla region of Jharkhand, and it is 85 feet tall and covers an area of around 2 acres. Its building is heavily influenced by Utkal art culture. Aside from Mahasadashiv, the principal deity in this temple, 84 additional black stone idols are also seated. The fundamental characteristic of this temple, however, is that the principal god Shiva is adored in the shape of Mahasadashiva, his one-of-a-kind Virat form.
Introduction to Shiva’s Mahasadashiv form: As we all know, there are 18 Puranas in Sanatan Dharma, and Shiva is mentioned in ten of them. According to the study of other holy writings, there are many forms in the 19 incarnations of Shiva, in which all types of human traits such as joy-sadness, forgiveness-anger, and so on have been observed from time to time. Shiva has 108 names, while other people claim he has 160. However, there are three primary manifestations of Shiva-Shiva, Sadashiva, and Mahasadashiva. Mahasadashiv represents a Virat form with 26 heads and 52 arms. This is an uncommon type that can only be seen in a few temples in India. This is the first Mahasadashiv ji temple in Jharkhand. This statue has also been erected in our temple. We believe that simply seeing this vast, massive shape would bless followers.
