Tuensang is a town in Nagaland, India, and the administrative centre of the Tuensang district. It has a population of 36,774. The town was established in 1947 to administer the erstwhile North Eastern Frontier Agency, which included the present-day districts of Tuensang, Mon, Longleng, Kiphire, and Noklak.
Tuensang is well-known for its handicrafts and handloom. The locals are dressed in traditional Naga garments, which have piqued the interest of fashionistas all over the world. The deep red colour, beautiful art work, and rare jewellery may all be found in abundance in Tuensang’s markets.

How to Reach Tuensang

BY ROAD

Phek town is 145 kilometres from Kohima, Nagaland’s capital, and 219 kilometres from Dimapur, the state’s commercial centre. Visitors visiting Phek have the option of flying or driving from Dimapur or Kohima to Phek. Phek is bordered on the south by the state of Manipur, on the west by Kohima District, on the north by Zunheboto and Tuensang districts, and on the east by Myanmar.
