Namagiri Amman Temple

Namagiri Amman Temple is devoted to the Goddess Namagiri Amman. It is located within the Narasimha Swamy kovil temple complex. Namagiri Amman (or Namagiri Lakshmi) arrived in the Kamalalayam and practised penance, which delighted Narasimha Swamy, according to mythology. The Amman is well-known for answering prayers for weddings and children. The temple faces the Narasimha Swamy Kovil and houses the Narasimha Theertham, a sacred waterspring. A massive stone statue of Visvarupa Anjaneya, also known as Hanumantharaya Swamy, stands outside in the open. The temple’s sculptural sculptures show the influence of Pallava and Chalukya art.

Namakkal Anjaneyar Temple

Namakkal Anjaneyar temple is in Namakkal, a town in the Namakkal district. It is named after the Hindu deity Hanuman. It is built in the Dravidian architectural style. The temple’s narrative is related with Narasimha, an incarnation of the Hindu god Vishnu who appears for Hanuman and Lakshmi. The figure of Anjaneyar stands 18 feet (5.5 metres) tall, making it one of the highest Hanuman representations in India. “Sri Vaikhanasam” follows the Agamam. Arthanareeswarar temple Tiruchengode

Namakkal is 35 kilometres from Tiruchengode. It is one of Kongunadu’s seven Sivasthalams. The Arthanareeswarar Temple is perched on a hill. The ruling deity is shown as half-male and half-female, vertically, to represent Shiva and Parvati worshipped as one form. It is regarded as one of the region’s oldest temples. Tiruchegode is Kongunadu’s archaic Poondurainadu. Thirukodimadachengondurur is Tiruchengode’s archaic name.

Kolli Hills

Kollimalai Hills are located in the Eastern Ghats at an elevation of 1200 metres in the Namakkal District, 45 kilometres from Namakkal town. The Kollimalai Hills are well-known for the medicinal herbs and plants that thrive on the hill slopes. For interested tourists, the Arapaleswarar Temple, Horticulture Farm, Herbal Farm, Agaya Gangaiwaterfalls, Boat house, Peryaswamy Temple, Ettukai Amman Temple, Pineapple fields, View Point, and Telescope House are the locations to visit. In these highlands, Attukalkilangu soup and raw meat were being sold. This is a tasty and effective medicine for knee discomfort. Every year throughout the month of August, the Valvil Ori festival is held here.

Jedarpalayam Dam

Jedarpalayam Dam is located in Namakkal District’s Kabilarmalai Panchayat Union. It is around 36 kilometres from Namakkal. The dam is built over the Cauvery River, which attracts a huge number of people during festival season and on weekends. This dam has a boating water storage area. There are six fibre boats accessible for boating. There are also children’s parks with play equipment and sports equipment. There are separate changing rooms for men and women, as well as restroom facilities.

Namakkal Fort

Namakkal’s Rock Fort is a unique feature of the town. The Fort has a level surface area of one and a half acres and is accessed from the south-west through a flight of short stairs. The Rock Fort is located on the top of the rock, and the brick and stone fragments still bore the brunt of the skirmishes that led to the Cholas’ seizure of the fort in the 9th century.
