The lovely Forest Park called Nehru Van Udyan is only one kilometre from Roing Township, on the bank of the river Deopani (Eje). The spectacular Eje-Breeze Tower guest home provides a scenic perspective of the river Deopani where you can enjoy the nice breeze from the rivers Eje and Eme.

The park contains a well-kept garden as well as lovely orchid and cactus homes. A few hundred metres away is the confluence of the rivers Eje and Eme….an perfect area for fun and picnics.
- Mipi Pene
Ezenggo, Roing, Lower Dibang Valley is home to the Mipi Pene Centre. The Igu, or shaman, is referred to as Mipi Pene. The centre was founded in 2017 with the goal of maintaining and developing the Igu system of the Idu Mishmi people. The plan is also to make it an excellent learning centre for the Igu system as well as the Idu Mishmis’ heritage and culture.
The Mipi Pene Centre features a greeting office, a seminar space (Igu hall) with a seating capacity of 100 persons, and a museum where visitors may view objects linked to Igu. A dormitory has been added at the centre for students and scholars who wish to remain and study Igu. For major cultural events, the centre also features an auditorium. For study and outdoor activities, the complex features a modest but well-kept grass.
- Research Institute of World and Ancient Traditions and Cultures and Heritage (RIWATCH)
RIWATCH is around 15 kilometres from Roing and is located near Abali Village. It’s a museum with an institute attached to it. The location is visited by foreign students.
- Dambuk:
In terms of tourism, Dambuk is a modest developing town. It holds the yearly calendar event ‘The Orange Festival of Adventure and Music,’ which includes several adventure activities as well as cultural and musical events, all set against the lovely backdrop of Orange orchards and paddy fields.

The environment and hot springs not only provide quiet and calmness, but also allow guests to see the daily lives of the neighbouring peasants. One may just walk about the hot-spring or have a soothing and revitalising hot-spring bath. The Jia hot spring is within around a 19-minute drive from Roing.
- Bhishmaknagar Fort: – a heritage monument
Bhishmaknagar has a connection to the epic Indian legend known as ‘The Mahabharata.’ Rukmini, Lord Krishna’s principal wife, was said to come from this region. However, there is no trace of their existence, but the fort’s remnants (plinth) remain and are indicative of some very amazing history in the region. Bishmaknagar is located 30 kilometres southeast of Roing. The location is perfect for hikers and birdwatchers.
- Mayudia Pass: A Unique Hill Resort
The Mayudia pass is 56 kilometres from the district headquarters in Roing. The Mayudia pass is located at a height of 2655 metres (8711 feet) above sea level. The pass generally has snowfall from November to March, but severe snowfall in January and February attracts a large number of domestic travellers. During the months of December to March, the region receives snowfall. The thick layer of snow provides a beautiful sense of tranquillity to the setting. The Iphi-pani ghat is ten kilometres from Roing Township and offers a lovely view of the plain valley of the river Dibang. Bring a packed lunch or cook it yourself on the riverbank and eat while listening to the river chanting. You may also practise your fishing and angling skills.
- Nijomaghat- a picnic spot
This ancient Nizamghat is located fifteen kilometres from Roing Township and was founded by Britishers in the eighteenth century. It is named for J.F.Needham, a British political officer. It served as the Britishers’ entry point into the highlands. The river flowing between towering mountains and rugged surroundings, along with the relaxing impact of rich foliage, makes this location ideal for a picnic. Dambuk and Roing are linked by a small ferry. The river’s raging surge has carved the hard Himalayan boulders into enigmatic sculptures. From here, one can see the entire series mountain range.

Hunli, a sub-divisional headquarter, is nestled in a lovely valley at an elevation of 5000 feet. The 90-kilometer trip from Roing to Hunli, which crosses the Mayudia Pass at an elevation of 8800 feet on a well-maintained black-topped road, gives thrills and eye-catching panoramic splendour. A two-hour hike from town will take you to the intriguing cave temple of Kupunli, near Hunli. The Circuit House, perched on a ridge with a spectacular view of the valley, will guarantee that you enjoy every second of your time in Hunli. - Ita and Padum Pukhuri
It is a historical brick-built pond in Ithili hamlet, about 14 kilometres from Roing. Padum Pukhuri is located a few hundred yards away from Itapukhuri. Hundreds of lotus blooms bloom in it throughout the months of October/November.
