Khijadia Bird Sanctuary

Marine National Park – Pirotan

Pirotan Marine National Park and Sanctuary is located in the intertidal zone of Jamnagar’s coast. The Marine Sanctuary was established in August 1980, and the Marine National Park was established in July 1982. Reserved woods include a total of 10.ll.sq. km of the National Park area and 1.11 sq. km of the Sanctuary area.

Ranmal Lake (Lakhota Lake), located in the heart of Jamnagar, is separated into three sections and spans 5 lakh square metres. The lake enhances the splendour of the city while also providing great refuge for visitors and migrating birds. Jam Ranmalji II is reported to have built Ranmal or Lakhota Lake between 1820 and 1852.
