Bawangaja (ChoolGiri) is a key Jain pilgrimage site. It is 6 kilometres from the district headquarters in Barwani. On the hill, there are 11 temples from the 15th century. It is home to the world’s highest statue of Lord Adinathji. The Jain saints Kumbhakarna and Indrajeet were supposed to have attained Nirvaan only from this location.
