Yanam is a town in the Yanam district of Puducherry, India, that is part of a 30 km2 enclave in the Andhra Pradesh district of East Godavari. It has a population of 35,000 people, the majority of whom are Telugu speakers. Yanam offers some stunning vistas. It’s surrounded by coconut groves. Because it is situated on the banks of the Gauthami Godavari River, it provides fresh iodinised air. This area has a lot of humidity. How to Reach Yanam
In the Yanam area, there is no railway line. The nearest railway station is at Kakinada (East Godavari District Headquarters), which is 26 kilometres to the east. It is a significant commerce centre and port town, and it is connected to Yanam by a district road. Yanam is also connected to Rajahmundry via a road that runs west of Ramachandrapuram. A new bridge linking Yanam and Yedurlanka was built across the Gauthami River as part of NH 214. This bridge, which was just reopened to the public, is now an essential route to Yanam.
Rajamahendravaram (Rajahmundry) is the only nearest airport for Yanam.
